Digging through the depths of nordic folk music treasures, and combining them with jazz improvisation TINGO is a part of a new nordic tendency. With a jazz approach they bring new life to old folk melodies and revitalize tradition. A graceful game of mixing the genres, with tender care for the northern melodies.
Original compositions by the band members stand side-by-side with the folk-tunes.

In the spring of 2026, TINGO will release their 2nd album, where they delve deeper into the Nordic music tradition. The album is a declaration of love for Nordic nature, and the places that connect us across time. The music touches us through the fragile and tactile, the violent, the nostalgic, and the spiritual dimension. Like a mysterious mist from a pine-forest underwood, the music envelopes the listener in a timeless connection.

TINGO's debut album "Kvartetten fra verdens ende" was released on the record label GO Danish Folk in the spring of 2023 and was nominated for "New artist of the year" at Danish Music Awards Jazz and Danish Music Awards Roots.
